In the southwest of France, on the Atlantic Ocean, there is a beautiful area for people who love sun, sea, beach, culture and tranquility. The large-scale camping site Le Vieux Port is fully equipped.
The campsite really offers something for everyone. The Aquaparc (heated) with its 5 swimming pools, with slides and wave pool, busy entertainment program for young and old, shops, supermarket and food / beverage outlets, etc. The campsite lacks nothing.
The campsite is large, but laid out in such a way that it appears 'small'. This gives you the advantages of a large campsite, but the peace and privacy of a 'small' campsite. All activities, entertainment, shops, wellness center, aquaparc swimming pool, etc. are located in the front part of the campsite, so there is a nice separation between busy plus cozy and peace plus space. The fields are reasonably sheltered under tall trees, so you can make good use of the shade and it gives a lot of atmosphere. The last part of the campsite is actually the beach, this beautiful sandy beach borders directly on the campsite. The beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean, which means that there are large to fairly large waves, ideal for surfers and/or to have fun in the water.
The campsite is French, but internationally oriented, which means that many things are translated into English and regularly into Dutch. There is always an employee who speaks good English. The Koko Holidays managers are Dutch speaking and familiar with the area.Download the map

If the campsite cannot offer you enough entertainment, there are still plenty of activities to do in the region of ten kilometers. How about surfing, golf, tree climbing, stand-up paddle, canoeing, kayak, pirogue canoe, diving and/or karting. You can also visit the typical Landes villages around the campsite such as Messanges, Vieux Boucau les Bains, Moliets-et -Maa or Soustons, visit nice markets with, among other things, regional products. You will enjoy the Landes beaches, such as those of Messanges, with its direct beach access.
Admire the Landes forests during a walk or a bike ride, along the cycling and forest paths in the heart of nature.
During your stay, discover the special aspects of our region: the pelote basque (Basque pelota), the many arenas and the shows, the ferias, but also the foie gras and the local gastronomy, very present in the culture of the Landes region! If you want to visit southwestern France or even Spain, the Vieux Port is an excellent starting point. You can visit the spa town of Dax, the surfing capital Hossegor, or Capbreton with its pleasure harbour.
Further south there is Biarritz, the ocean city, with its “musee de la mer” (marine museum), and the famous “Rocher de la Vierge” (rock of the virgin)!
When you are in the Basque Country you will certainly enjoy Saint-Jean-de-Luz, or one of the many other typical Basque towns! We also recommend the train from la Rhune, which will take you through the enchanting Pyrenees landscapes. Even Spain is within reach. Immerse yourself in the Spanish atmosphere about an hour and a half from the campsite: go to San Sebastian for example, and discover the beautiful landscapes, and a different culture! Be sure to visit the Dune du Pyla (highest dune in Europe) in the Arcachon Basin, and visit the Bordeaux vineyards as you pass through the Gironde!
